What is Underground Playground?
Underground Playground is a first-of-its-kind decentralized 48-hour team competition where creativity, strategy, and pure fun take center stage.
How do teams participate?
Each team receives the same list of challenges at the start of the event. Teams document and upload proof of completion to Instagram.
Is Underground Playground an in-person event?
Not in the traditional sense! There’s no single location—it’s completely decentralized, meaning you can play from anywhere in the USA.
What kind of challenges will we be doing?
Challenges range from hilarious social tasks and creative projects to strategy-based team missions.
How many people can be on a team?
Teams of 3-5 are recommended, but not required. You can go solo if you're brave enough, or form a larger group.
Is the entry fee per person or per team?
The entry fee is per team, not per person. One payment covers your entire team.
Can I participate alone?
Yes! While teams are encouraged, if you want to fly solo and take on the competition yourself, go for it.
Why do we have to use Instagram?
Instagram serves as the scoreboard and proof system for completed challenges.
Who can post challenge submissions to Instagram?
Each team provides Instagram handles that will be used for submitting challenges. Multiple team members posting can help with team organization.
Can we use TikTok, Twitter, or another platform?
Right now, Instagram is the primary platform. You are free however to upload to any social media platform, but only submissions on Instagram will count for challenge purposes.
Does our Instagram account need to be public?
Yes, you must post from a public account to receive credit for challenges.
Do you have to complete all the challenges?
No! You choose your own adventure. The more you do, the better your chances of winning.
What do we win?
Prize pools scale based on participation. More teams = more prize opportunities.
How do we know if we won?
All completed submissions will be reviewed. Winners will be announced and contacted directly.
Are there different ways to win?
Yes! Teams may be recognized for completing the most challenges, creativity, social engagement, or other standout performances.
Is there an age requirement?
Underground Playground is designed for adults (18+). Teams with participants 16-17 years old must have at least one adult teammate.
How do we ensure safety during the event?
All challenges are designed to be safe and legal. Teams are responsible for using common sense and good judgment.
Will there be refunds if we can’t participate?
Since backing this project funds the event, all contributions are final.

When does Underground Playground take place?
The event runs from June 20–21, 2025. The competition lasts 48 hours.
